The first step in the upkeep process is to review our financial forecast. We utilize a five year upkeep model that builds off of the current year very upkeep and is modified for known changes. The updated 5 year upkeep forecast was provided to the workbench at the November 2, 2015, school workbench meeting. The model incorporates a number of assumptions to develop a five year "big picture" projection. Please see the "5 Year Forecast Model Summary" link and the "2016-2017 Forecast Model Assumptions" link for increasingly information. Of course, the biggest factor in our operating upkeep is our student membership and how much revenue the state will indulge us to raise per student. There is very little information misogynist for future years (2016-2020), but the known information from the state has been incorporated. As the district refines the projections for 2016-2017 and receives increasingly information for the years beyond, the model will be updated. Note that as of November 2, the district is projecting a deficit of approximately $500,000 for our 2016-2017 operations budget. It is now the job of the wardship to develop a detailed line item upkeep for the upcoming 2016-2017 school year. Next wardship will review the expenses to determine how we can wastefulness the upkeep or to consider use of our "rainy day fund" to wastefulness the budget. The district is single-minded to finding efficiencies and will not pursue an operating referendum for 2016-2017. As always, our focus is to maintain our low spending status while standing to provide a upper level of service for our students.
